The Buy-to-Let mortgage market has expanded beyond all recognition in the last 5 years. Gone are the days when the interest rate being charged on these types of product were 2 or 3% above what you would pay on your home mortgage. Now, your typical B-T-L mortgage is as competitive as your residential mortgage. Also, gone are the days when you have to find a 25% deposit. Most lenders now accept a 15% deposit, and some as little as 13, 11 or even 10%.
